摘要: Abstract While the perennial phenomenon of begging exists in many historical cities, where tourists tend to concentrate, topic has not been examined depth context tourism. By using Goffman's (1955, 1963, 1971) dynamics public space interaction and taking as a case center city Heraklion (Crete), this study draws on unobtrusive research methods (written records, non-participant observations photographing), shed further light beggars–tourists' encounters by exploring only strategies beggars adopt ensure almsgiving from tourists, but also provide typology based their interactions.
