摘要: Background and study aim : The prevalence of antinuclear antibody (ANA) has been documented in patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Hepatitis infection plays an important role the pathogenesis immunological derangement, but mechanism remains unclear. The this is to detect significance ANA positivity its impact on histopathology early virological response (EVR) combined antiviral therapy chronic HCV patients. . Patients Methods:Two hundred Egyptian naive were enrolled study. Antinuclear was detected by ELISA it considered positive a titer > 1 : 14 indirect immunofluorescence. Complete laboratory investigations histological examination done as pretreatment work up for all patients. Patients followed during treatment EVR assessed negative patients. Results: There statistically significant difference between regarding viral load histopathological criteria no other demographic criteria. close (77 former Vs. 80 later P = 0.33). No autoimmune manifestations among cases. Except ALT & AST levels differences cases haematological data, thyroid dysfunction. BMI, levels, fibrosis stages independent predictors EVR. Conclusion: ANA postivity associated advanced didn't affect response.
