摘要: A major mechanism in the cellular defense against oxidative or electrophilic stress is activation of Nrf2-antioxidant response element signaling pathway, which controls expression genes whose protein products are involved detoxication and elimination reactive oxidants agents through conjugative reactions by enhancing antioxidant capacity. At molecular level, however, regulatory mechanisms mediating Nrf2 not fully understood. It well established that activity controlled, part, cytosolic Keap1, but nature this pathway Keap1 acts to repress remain be characterized topics discussion minireview. In addition, a possible role transcriptional neuroprotection will also discussed.
