摘要: Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) is an invasive technique used during the surgical management of medically refractory epilepsy. The utility SEEG rests in its ability to survey three-dimensional organization epileptogenic zone as well nearby eloquent cortices. Once concentrated specialized centers Europe and Canada, methodology has gained worldwide popularity due favorable morbidity profile, superior coverage deep structures, perform multilobar explorations without need for craniotomy. This rapid shift practice represents both a challenge opportunity pediatric neurosurgeons familiar with subdural grid approach. purpose this review discuss indications, technique, safety long-term monitoring children. In addition reviewing conceptual technical points diagnostic evaluation, attention will also be given SEEG-based interventions (e.g., radiofrequency thermo-coagulation).
