摘要: Abstract Background: Below-knee revascularization for limb salvage in the absence of a suitable autogenous saphenous vein is frequent challenge associated with high amputation rate. The aim this prospective study was to evaluate usefulness cryopreserved arterial allografts such cases. Methods: Arterial were harvested from multiple organ donors and at −80°C. From March 1993 December 1997, 35 used as below-knee bypasses repeated 32 patients. There 15 men 17 women mean age 75 years (±10.7). Seven patients had rest pain 25 (78%) gangrene or nonhealing ulceration. Runoff through single tibial vessel cases (71%) two vessels 10 Previous ipsilateral been done 26 limbs (74%). Patients followed up prospectively an average period 18 months (range 2 56). Results: Aneurysmal dilatation occurred patent grafts, requiring segmental replacement 13 months, respectively. overall primary patency rate 75% 6 57% 12 39% months. secondary 59% Overall 80% 73% Conclusions: These early data indicate that bypass results acceptable salvage. may be useful alternative other substitutes difficult group critical ischemia no vein.
