摘要: Abstract We transplanted Schwann cells of 3 patients with neurofibromatosis from neurofibromas, sural nerve, and a malignant schwannoma into sciatic nerves immunoincompetent mice. Three six months later, the grafts distal nerve segments contained normal myelinated fibers. After rendering host animals immune competent again, neurofibroma were rejected, but retained normally fibers indicating that these mouse origin. Sural patient rejected also leaving naked axons in grafted showing human one had invested regenerating axons. The nature putative signals passing between might be elucidated by combination animal nerves. Hypothetical for myelination received neurofibromatosis, not neurofibromas or schwannomas.
