摘要: ✓ An experimental model with xenograft transplantation into the subrenal capsule of athymic (nude) mice was used to evaluate early response human acoustic schwannomas stereotactic radiosurgery. After placement, 45 underwent radiosurgery single doses 10, 20, or 40 Gy using a 201-source 60Co gamma unit (4-mm collimator, isocenter, 80% isodose line). The radiosurgery-treated xenografts were compared 15 untreated and in that “sham radiosurgery.” All five study groups matched for following pretreatment variables: patient origin, animal weight, average diameter, percentage surface vascularity. Immediately prior sacrifice all evaluated situ determine tumor volume, Mice sacrificed 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months after Blinded histological review performed by an inde...
