摘要: Introduction: Iron deficiency anemia is a public health problem. The low dietary intake of iron one its causes. Objective: To determine the in adolescent women. Design: Descriptive, cross type study. Setting: Educational Institutions district Ancon, Lima. Participants: Three hundred and fifty-five high school female students Ancon chosen at random. Interventions: Previous informed consent, semi-quantitative food beverage frequency questionnaire was given. Main outcome measures: Daily intake. Results: Adolescents average age 14 ± 1,69 years. median 10,4 mg (quartile 1 = 9 / day, quartile 3 12,1 day), adequacy, 38,4% 33,45%; 45,56%); 86,8% all adolescents did not satisfy even 50% their recommended daily bioavailability represented one-tenth total ingested.
