A Curse of Coal? Exploring Unintended Regional Consequences of Coal Energy in The Czech Republic

摘要: Focusing on coal energy from a geographical perspective, the unintended regional consequences of mining and combustion in Czech Republic are discussed analysed terms environmental injustice resource curse theories. The explorative case study attempts to identify significant associations between spatially uneven distribution power plants socioeconomic characteristics development trends affected areas. findings indicate that industries have contributed slightly above average incomes pensions, provided households with some technical services such as district heating. However, these positive effects come at high health costs paid by local populations. Above rates unemployment, homelessness crime benefits been unevenly distributed economically. A higher proportion uneducated people ethnic minorities districts suggest is environmentally unjust. Shrnuti Prokleti uhli? Zkoumani nezamýslených regionalnich důsledků uhelne energie v Ceske republice Autoři se zaměřuji na energii uhli z geograficke perspektivy, analyzuji diskutuji nezamýslene regionalni důsledky těžby spalovani kontextu teorii environmentalni nespravedlnosti prokleti zdrojů. Explorativni připadova studie snaži nalezt signifikantni vztahy mezi prostorově nerovnoměrným rozsiřenim uhelných elektraren environmentalnimi socioekonomickými kvalitami vývojovými trendy dotcených uzemi. Výsledky indikuji, že uhelný průmysl přispěl k mirně nadprůměrným mzdam penzim sirsimu rozsiřeni urcitých technických služeb, napřiklad centralni vytapěni. Tato pozitiva vsak lokalni populace zaplatila važnými zdravotnimi dopady. Nadprůměrna mira nezaměstnanosti, bezdomovectvi zvýsena kriminalita take ekonomicke benefity nebyly rovnoměrně distribuovany. Vyssi procento nevzdělaných lidi etnických minorit lokalitach naznacuje, je environmentalně nespravedliva.
