摘要: Purpose of review Hypersensitivity drug reactions are but one the many different types adverse reactions. They may be potentially life-threatening, prolong hospitalization, affect prescribing patterns physicians and result in socioeconomic costs. This summarizes current knowledge on incidence, prevalence, mortality risk factors for these populations. Recent findings represent about third all Adverse 10-20% hospitalized patients more than 7% general population. Severe including anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity syndromes, Stevens Johnson syndrome toxic epidermal necrolysis also associated with significant morbidity mortality. Although several have been identified, their clinical importance has not fully understood. Future progress immunogenetics pharmacogenetics help identify populations at specific Summary Well designed epidemiological studies lacking as most Such will helpful identifying developing such reactions, particular severe implementing early preventive measures.
