摘要: Abstract Measurements have been made of the width dislocation loop-free zones formed around 〈100〉 tilt boundaries in quench-aged pure aluminium and some dilute solid solutions as a result vacancy-loss to boundary during cooling. The is found increase quench-rate decreases except for slowest used. data are analysed terms vacancy-concentration profile derived simple monovacancy diffusion linear quench rate, assuming that critical vacancy concentration required loop nucleation.
