摘要: Current approaches to soft tissue regeneration include the use of fat grafts, natural or synthetic biomaterials as filler materials. Fat grafts and resorb too quickly maintain regeneration, while materials do not degrade regenerate tissue. Here, we present a simple approach volume stable filling defects. In this study, combined lipoaspirate with silk protein matrix in subcutaneous rat model. Silk can be tailored fit variety needs, here were processed into porous sponge format allow for ingrowth remaining mechanically robust. Over an 18 month period, seeded regenerated adipose maintaining original implanted volume. A alone was sufficient tissue, but yielded fibrous although maintained. This work presents significant improvement standard defects by matching biomaterial degradation profiles.
