摘要: Summary The capacity of the double layer at a mercury electrode in contact with aqueous KBr solutions was measured 25°. These results, together those for other halides, are used to investigate relation between electrocapillary and measurements. Under most conditions there is no disagreement, but errors can occur measurements on positively charged surface dilute weakly-adsorbed electrolytes, possibly due occurence finite angle. To obtain accurate excesses it important make closely spaced concentrations. adsorption isotherm Br − , common several anions, exhibits features which do not seem be explicable terms current theory. question specific F briefly discussed.
