摘要: Immune deficiency is one of the numerous consequences chronic renal failure. We can hypothesize that an abnormal natural killer (NK) cell response present in patients with end-stage disease (ESRD). To characterize immune defect ESRD patients, we performed a NK subset analysis 66 treated by hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Compared healthy blood donors, undergoing dialysis showed profound decrease NKG2D(+) cells within both CD8(+) T (58 vs. 67%, p = 0.03) and (39 56%, 0.002) populations. further studied subsets 55 17 As compared to all these had significantly decreased NKG2D-positive cells. Patients using PMMA membranes (BK-F) Helixone-FX smaller when Nephral membranes. The expression MICA on surface monocytes, which marker inflammation induced cellular stress, was also lower BK-F In conclusion, data suggest subpopulation ESRD. This associated high circulating levels HLA-related molecule MICA. membrane influence modulation phenotype overexpression.
