摘要: Abstract Green coffee oil enriched with cafestol and kahweol was obtained by supercritical fluid extraction using carbon dioxide while its safety possible effects from acute subacute treatment were evaluated in rats. For toxicity study, single dose of green (2000 mg/kg) administered gavage female study (28 days), 32 male rats received different doses extract (25, 50, 75 mg/kg/day). In the main findings this indicated no mortality, body weight decrease, changes hematological biochemical parameters, relative increase heart thymus, without histopathological alterations all assessed organs. All these suggest that LD50 is higher than aforesaid dose. toxicity, showed decrease mainly at highest food consumption change, serum glucose tryglicerides levels liver. As evidenced pictures, observed treated doses. Our can be explored to clinically develop new hypocholesteromic hypoglycemic agents. However, further studies evaluating long-term are needed order have sufficient evidence for use humans.
