Scaling behavior and nearly constant loss effect in AgI–LiPO3 composite glasses

摘要: Abstract xAgI–(1 − x)LiPO 3 composite glass electrolytes were prepared by melt quenching technique using a twin roller assembly operated at 2000 rpm. The glasses with x   0.2, micron size cluster particles of γ -AgI nanocrystallytes, embedded in matrix observed. This was confirmed XRD and SEM studies. conductivity increased several orders magnitude comparison to pure LiPO glasses. Maximum ~ 10 − 3  S/cm found for x = 0.5 composition. FTIR studies suggest that AgI acts as plasticizing agent which reduces the polymeric chain lengths phosphate In addition provides silver ions contribute total ionic conductivity.
