摘要: Over the past 20 years use of dietary supplements as adjuvant therapy for weight loss gained growing favor among consumers and dietician–nutritionists, with subsequent astounding increase in health costs. Despite reassuring label natural remedy losing weight, contain a wide variety ingredients on which available information is rather scanty scientifically incomplete. Currently, there little evidence that weight-loss offer effective aids to reduce meet criteria recommended use. Robust, randomized, placebo-controlled studies provide clear-cut scientific their efficacy potential side effects clinical practice are still lacking. Understanding efficacy, safety, quality these nutritionists physicians critical counsel patients appropriately, especially considering risk serious adverse interference concomitant therapies. Detailed safety most commonly used has been recently published by National Institutes Health (NIH). However, this report thorny issue may result from drug interactions not sufficiently addressed.
