摘要: Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of L-asparaginase as an immunosuppressive agent in a mouse model rheumatoid arthritis. Methods Male DBA/1 mice with collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) were treated at different intervals various doses native pegylated from E. coli. The observed for 4 weeks during which time was scored. Outcome parameters included effect on severity progression established well prevention disease. In addition, X-rays affected joints obtained comparison. Results Both dose 50 IU/injection intraperitoneally three days week asparaginase (PEG-L-asparaginase) 25 twice week, significantly reduced mean arthritic score (MAS) (p < 0.001 PEG-L-asparaginase). When administered before onset (days 14-post immunization) number developing paws treatment group decreased 0.0001). Significant differences found X-ray evaluation between control mice. None animals died due to drug related events or showed signs induced toxicity. Conclusion Our data provide first direct evidence that is potent antiarthritic may represent effective second line future studies juvenile adult
