摘要: Background and aim: We conducted a prospective study to investigate the possible relationship between tortuosity ofcoronary arteries (TCA) carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), also compare TCA retinal artery tortuosity. Methods: One hundred five participants with nonsignificant coronary plaque or normal angiogram were included. To determine subclinical atherosclerosis, maximum CIMT was measured. Retinal evaluated ophthalmically. Results: Among all demographic variables risk factors, only female gender height significantly associated (p = 0.001, p 0.01, respectively). atherosclerosis more common inpatients compared patients without < R 0.6; 0.002, 0.4, greater in than 0.001), presence of 0.001). There significant correlation subclinicalatherosclerosisand 0.005, 0.3). Likewise, found 0.02, Multivariate analysis identified 0.008), arterytortuosity 0.02) as independent predictors TCA. Conclusions: These results indicate that, whatever mechanism is: 1) is short stature; 2) even entirely appearing oncoronary angiography; 3) correlated can be surrogate for systemic arterial
