Chronic endometritis: correlation among hysteroscopic, histologic, and bacteriologic findings in a prospective trial with 2190 consecutive office hysteroscopies.

摘要: Objective To evaluate the type and etiopathogenic role of infectious agents detected in endometrial cultures obtained from women with chronic endometritis (CE). Design Prospective controlled study. Setting University hospital. Patient(s) 2190 undergoing hysteroscopy for different indications. Intervention(s) Vaginal samples were collected 438 a CE diagnosis at 100 no signs (controls). Main Outcome Measure(s) Histology common bacteria, Neisseria gonorrhoeae Mycoplasma , molecular biology testing Chlamydia performed. Result(s) We compared results vaginal intrauterine without CE. Histologic positive 388 these cases (88.6%), least one microorganism was found 320 (73.1%). In control group, histologic culture only 6% 5% cases, respectively. The most frequent level bacteria (58% cases). Ureaplasma urealyticum 10% 2.7% cultures. 143 (32.6%) same agent isolated Conclusion(s) More than 70% resulted nongonococcal, nonchlamydial infections. Common etiologic agents. have low concordance
