摘要: A vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) having asymmetrical optical confinement is described. Polarization of VCSELs symmetrical structures tend to be unpredictable and switchable. The VCSEL the present invention has a dielectric stack on top distributed Bragg mirror. made up two or more layers material with each alternate layer one different refractive indexes. In preferred embodiment an antireflective coating between mirror layers. preferably smaller than aperture.
