摘要: Sodium handling is a key physiological hallmark of renal function. Alterations are generally considered pathophysiologic event associated with kidney injury, disturbances in the corticomedullary sodium gradient being indicative number conditions. This experimental protocol review describes individual steps needed to perform 23Na MRI; allowing accurate monitoring distribution step-by-step for rodents. This chapter based upon work from PARENCHIMA COST Action, community-driven network funded by European Cooperation Science and Technology (COST) program Union, which aims improve reproducibility standardization MRI biomarkers. complemented two separate chapters describing basic concept data analysis.
