摘要: The most important risk factor for the development of Barrett's esophagus is reflux both gastric and duodenal contents into esophagus. reason why metaplasia develops only in a minority patients suffering from gastroesophageal disease remains unknown. The exact mechanism behind transition normal squamous epithelium specialized columnar also unclear. It likely that stem cells are involved this metaplastic change, as they permanent residents epithelium. Several tumorigenic steps lead to underlying genetic instability, which indispensable progression esophageal adenocarcinoma have been described. This review outlines process pathogenesis its adenocarcinoma.
