摘要: Typically plasma viremia is controlled in macaques challenged with R5 tropic SHIV162P3 during the chronic phase of infection. However, a few infected animals it sustains for prolonged period. Persistent two such led to rapid decline CD4+ T-cells blood leading induction AIDS. A viral variant from one these showed sensitivity soluble CD4 and maraviroc similar challenge virus. exhibited reduced anti-gp120 antibody b12 sera SHIV162P3-infected or HIV-1-infected humans. Molecular sequencing env gene this virus revealed multiple mutations clustering on V1 domain gp120. These results demonstrate that evolution envelope SHIV-infected may lead emergence altered immunological characteristics.
