摘要: The thin agar layer (TAL) method of Kang and Fung was used to enumerate acid-injured foodborne pathogens. This involves overlaying 14 ml nonselective medium (tryptic soy [TSA]) onto a prepoured solidified pathogen-specific, selective in petri dish. After surface plating, injured cells resuscitated grew on TSA during the first few hours incubation; then, agents from diffused top layer, interacted with recovered microorganisms, started produce typical reactions.
