摘要: White matter damage is an important part of cerebrovascular disease and may be a significant contributing factor in vascular mechanisms cognitive dysfunction dementia. It well accepted that white homeostasis involves multifactorial interactions between all cells the axon-glia-vascular unit. But more recently, it has been proposed beyond cell-cell signaling within brain per se, dynamic crosstalk systemic responses such as circulating immune stem/progenitor also important. In this review, we explore hypothesis peripheral contribute to repair after damage. Depending on timing, phenotype context, monocyte/macrophage can possess both detrimental beneficial effects oligodendrogenesis remodeling. Endothelial progenitor (EPCs) activated CNS injury response influence process. These emerging findings support peripheral-derived or pathology disease.
