摘要: IN mammals, testis determination is under the control of testis-determining factor borne by Y chromosome1,2. SRY, a gene cloned from sex-determining region human chromosome, has been equated with in man3–5 and mouse6,7. We have used SRY probe to identify clone related genes chromosome two marsupial species. Comparisons eutherian metatherian Y-located sequences suggest rapid evolution these genes, especially outside encoding DNA-binding HMG box. The homologues, together mouse Ubely homologues8, are first be identified on chromosome.
