摘要: Objective Neurogenic erectile dysfunction can be broadly defined as an inability to sustain or maintain a penile erection due neurologic impairment. Sexual problems occur any lesion affecting the central and peripheral nervous system. The aim of this study was evaluate prevalence causes in group hospital inpatients suffering from disorders. Methods Three-hundred twenty six male patients admitted Neurorehabilitation Unit IRCCS Centro Neurolesi "Bonino-Pulejo" Messina Italy March 2012 June 2013 were screened for using International Index Erectile Function questionnaire. who reported dysfuntion underwent vascular, neurophysiological, hormonal testing, divided into two groups according their sites: G1 (lesions above S2-S4 center) G2 below center). Results Of 326 patients, 126 (38.6%), mean age 54.56±11.74 years (age range 27-82 years), affected by (i.e., scored ≤21). A statistically significant correlation between questionnaire scores location lesions observed (r=0.22) with increased risk around 2:1 (odds ratio=1.87) without influences related aging. Conclusion occurence is significantly more prevalent among neurologically disabled men, particularly those S2-S4, than men disability. Considering sexual functioning should regularly evaluated during acute long-term rehabilitation, existing addressed treatment plan.
