摘要: A detailed derivation of a quantity, defined as the acoustic power per unit solid angle far from illuminated volume divided by intensity incident light beam and termed differential photoacoustic (PA) cross section, is presented. The expression for PA section absorbing retains two terms, namely, coherent incoherent parts. second part based on correlation model can be employed to analyze signal spectrum tissue characterization. performances fluid sphere, Gaussian, exponential models in assessing mean size variance optical absorption coefficients absorbers were investigated performing silico experiments. It was possible evaluate diameters spherical with radii ≥ 20 μm an accuracy 10% analysis bandwidth 5 50 MHz using first models. estimation about 22% spheres mimicking erythrocytes third 100 MHz. extracted values average demonstrated good nominal values. This study suggests that method presented here may developed potential characterization tool.
