摘要: BACKGROUND MicroRNAs (miRNAs) display aberrant expression patterns and functional abnormalities in many types of cancer. However, their roles primary gallbladder carcinoma (PGC) have not been well documented. miR-335 has demonstrated to be involved tumorigenesis several cancers the digestive system. The aim this study was investigate clinical significance PGC. METHODS 166 human PGC tissues matched adjacent nondysplastic epithelia measured by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay. RESULTS level significantly lower than that (P<0.001). Of patients, 96 (57.83%) had reduced miR-335. Additionally, with high histologic grade (P=0.02), advanced pathologic T stage (P=0.009) (P=0.008), positive lymph node metastasis (P=0.001). In univariate analysis log-rank test, (P=0.03), (P=0.01), (P<0.001), (P<0.001) were significant prognostic factors for overall survival patients. Multivariate further revealed (P=0.006) maintained independent influence on survival. CONCLUSION This offers convincing evidence first time downregulated a majority patients may associated aggressive tumor behaviors. Loss useful marker outcome therapeutic target
