摘要: The European Water Framework Directive (WFD) establishes a framework for the protection and improvement of transitional coastal waters; its final objective is to achieve at least 'good water status' all waters, by 2015. WFD requires Member States (MSs) assess Ecological Status (ES) bodies. This assessment will be based upon status biological, hydromorphological physico-chemical quality elements, comparing data obtained from monitoring networks reference (undisturbed) conditions, then deriving an Quality Ratio (EQR). One biological elements considered benthic invertebrate component some structural parameters (composition, diversity disturbance-sensitive taxa) must included in ES assessment. Following these criteria, several approaches have been proposed MSs. that are intercalibrated. contribution describes comparison different methodologies United Kingdom, Spain, Denmark Norway. Results show high consistency between approaches, both with regard determining EQR boundary settings ES.
