摘要: Ultrafast (<150 fs) optical switching using glass samples containing bismuth oxide (Bi 2 O 3 -glass) was investigated through Kerr shutter (OKS) measurements. Glass composed of 63.3Bi O-32.6B -4.1SiO -0.24CeO (molar ratio) were prepared by a melting method. We performed OKS measurements at wavelength 800 nm 150 fs laser pulses derived from amplified Ti 3+ :Al system. signals in Bi -glass had response <150 fs, and the signal intensity as large that reference material, CS . Moreover, we demonstrated THz 1.5 pulse trains gate beam.
