摘要: A synergistic investigation involving both experiment and numerical simulation was performed in vitro to determine the heat flow from rechargeable neuromodulation systems into surrounding media. Each system consists of an implant external recharging antenna, flows each these components were determined separately. Three systems, produced by a different medical device firm, evaluated. The evaluated products included those Medtronic Inc. (MDT), ANS (a St. Jude Company), Boston Scientific Company (BSC, formerly Advanced Bionics). To ensure statistical significance, three nominally identical samples in study. Furthermore, for sample system, replicate evaluations antenna. It found that MDT, substantially lower rates compared with BSC. With regard latter higher not consistently ordered In general, data runs component satisfactory agreement. MDT showed only minor deviations flow. among BSC larger than evidenced MDT.
