摘要: Cultivars of Dahlia, Pentas, Salvia and two Impatiens were subjected to severe soil drying, their foliar water relations measured when fewer than eight live leaves remained (defined as the lethal point). was most dehydration tolerant four genera, characterized by leaf potential, showed highest osmotic adjustment. Dahlia cultivars had similar at point. Length drying period, which varied growing plants in three pot sizes, did not affect any parameter. The paper also provides a ranking tolerance 25 other ornamental plants, additional experiments. Foliage woody species tended be more foliage herbaceous species. # 2003 Elsevier Science B.V.
