摘要: Data from 142 male and 43 female samples of African populations have been used to analyze the geographical variation digital dermatoglyphics (arches, loops, whorls, pattern intensity index) in Africa. The patterns summarized as contours sixth-degree polynomial surfaces by means trend-surface analysis. As pointed out early studies, Africa exhibits clines dermatoglyphic patterns. However, only some frequency gradients previously described for region find confirmation present study.
