摘要: Abstract Experimental and theoretical results on core-excited variable-size atomic molecular clusters are reported. Rydberg excitations in rare gas serve to study core–hole localization phenomena weakly bound systems. Specifically, 3s excited variable size argon exhibit distinct shifts of the 3s→ n p window resonances converging Ar ionization threshold. These assigned basis quasiatomic approach, considering influence nearest neighbors as well long range effects series. 1s-excited nitrogen- carbon monoxide-clusters show almost identical spectra compared bare molecules solid. A significant blue-shift σ* shape-resonance relative isolated molecule is found homogeneous nitrogen solid, whereas no observed CO-clusters. rationalized by using approach terms differences dynamic core-excitations regime shape-resonances.
