Preparation and physicochemical characteristics of self-assembled nanoparticles of deoxycholic acid modified-carboxymethyl curdlan conjugates

摘要: Abstract Various deoxycholic acid (DOCA)-modified-carboxymethylated (CM)-curdlan (DCMC) were synthesized and characterized by FTIR, 1 H NMR XRD. The degree of DOCA substitution (DS), as spectrophotometrically determined, was 2.1, 3.2, 4.1, or 6.3 groups per hundred sugar residues CM-curdlan. physicochemical properties the self-assembled nanoparticals in aqueous media investigated using NMR, dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) fluorescence spectroscopy. DCMC conjugates provided monodispersed nanoparticles water, with mean diameter decreasing from 192 to 347 nm DS increasing. Moreover, also increased pH PBS. Zeta potential exhibited near −60 mV distilled water −26 −36 mV PBS, indicating these covered negatively charged CM-curdlan shells. critical aggregation concentration (cac) dependent on (DS) slightly lower PBS than water. TEM images demonstrated that spherical shape.
