摘要: Epidemiologic evidence supporting a protective role of calcium and vitamin D in colorectal carcinogenesis has been accumulating Western populations, but it is limited Asian whose intake relatively low. We investigated the association intakes these nutrients with cancer risk Japanese. Study subjects were participants large-scale case-control study Fukuoka, Japan. Diet was assessed through interview regarding 148 dietary items by showing typical foods or dishes on display personal computer. In multivariate analysis adjusting for potential confounding variables, significantly, inversely associated (P trend=0.01); odds ratio highest versus lowest quintile 0.64 (95% confidence interval, 0.45-0.93). Higher levels significantly decreased among those who had fewer chances sunlight exposure at work leisure trend=0.02). A high observed higher greater chance daily exposure, not medium lower potentially exposure. These results add to support joint action prevention carcinogenesis.
