摘要: Abstract Objective. It has been suggested that soy food and isoflavone intake may be protective against the risk of colorectal cancer. However, epidemiologic evidence remains sparse inconsistent. We addressed this issue in Fukuoka Colorectal Cancer Study. Material methods. The study subjects were 816 incident cases histologically confirmed cancer 815 community controls. Intakes foods isoflavones assessed by in-person interview using a computer-assisted dietary method. Logistic regression analysis was applied to estimate odds ratio (OR) 95% confidence interval (CI) with adjustment for intakes calcium n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids as well body mass index, physical activity, alcohol use, other lifestyle factors. Results. Energy-adjusted (dry weight) inversely associated men postmenopausal women, but not premenopausal women. ...
