摘要: Abstract Vitamin D is a secosteroid hormone regulating calcium and phosphate metabolism, immune response brain development. Low blood 25(OH)D levels have been reported in patients affected by infectious diseases caused parasites, including malaria. Despite the high effectiveness of antimalarials, malaria burdened with morbidity mortality, search for additional therapies rapidly growing. Furthermore, available preventive measures proved to be barely effective so far. Finding new prevention therapy tools matter urgency. Studies on animal models humans hypothesized some mechanisms which can influence pathogenesis, role supplementation preventing treating this disease has suggested. Few studies association between are disagreeing results reported. reporting an low circulating Malaria small sample size observational study-set. Randomized controlled trials needed order understand if administration might play
