摘要: Abstract Experimental investigation of charged particle formation by the ionization air containing sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ) was performed using a nano-DMA (differential mobility analyzer) and an atmospheric pressure mass spectrometer. A radioactive ion source 241 Am negative dc corona discharge were used to ionize SO /H O/air mixtures. The results showed that number particles formed had increased as H O concentration (ca. 20–3 × 10 3 ppm) for both sources, but also produced when more than two orders magnitude greater what Am. During α-ray irradiation, 4 − (H O) n ions predominated coincident with particles. complicated spectrum, which included groups NO , x ( = 2–5) HSO = 3–5). relative abundance varied depending on reaction time. core surpassed other increased. formations cluster HNO enhanced at higher concentrations. Possible ion-molecule reactions responsible observed spectra are discussed in detail.
