摘要: Nitroxoline is considered to be an effective treatment for the urinary tract infections. Recently, it has been found against several cancers. However, few studies have examined anti-tumor activity of nitroxoline in bladder cancer. The purpose study was reveal possible mechanisms how inhibited cancer progression. In vitro assay, we demonstrated that cell growth and migration a concentration-related manner. Western blot analysis downregulated expressions epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related proteins. Furthermore, with C3H/He mice subcutaneous model resulted significant inhibition tumor growth. Moreover, percentage myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC) peripheral blood significantly decreased after nitroxoline. Taken together, our results suggested may used as potential drug
