摘要: Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels from pre--existing ones, is central for both normal development and homeostasis as well in certain pathological conditions. The vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs) their receptors are prime regulators physiological angiogenesis. different VEGFs have overlapping but specific roles controlling vessels. VEGF transduce signals mediating cell proliferation, migration, organization into functional remodeling vessel network. In recent years, rapid progress has been made understanding receptor-ligand interactions that orchestrate neovascularization process.
