Education and childlessness: the relationship between educational field, educational level, employment and childlessness among Greek women born in 1955-1959

摘要: In this article we expand the analysis of relationship between educational attainment, field and fertility by presenting case Greece. The importance is emphasised both occupation, as well their role in diversity observed among women. Our empirical investigation based on census data (2001) pertaining to childbearing, employment histories an entire cohort Greek women born country 1955-1959. indicates that some cases, education serves better indicator a woman’s potential reproductive behaviour than level attained. general, results show similarities with those already obtained for other countries. particular, educated teaching health care have lower permanent childlessness at any major grouping. confirm findings studies higher does not systematically result childlessness.
