摘要: The earlier optimism generated by the efficacy of antiretroviral drugs in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) patients has been dissipated face enormous challenge maintaining a nearly perfect adherence indefinitely. This study set to determine influence HIV self-efficacy and beliefs about medicines on therapy adherence, with aim developing framework for enhancing (ART) through focused intervention modifiable factors from variables that are strongly associated ART adherence. A descriptive correlational design was used assess predictive relationships Self-Efficacy, Beliefs Medicines among 232 HIVinfected large public health facility Pretoria. Participants' medication were assessed using Questionnaire, scale (HIV-ASES) AIDS Clinical Trial Group questionnaire. Pearson correlation analysis bivariate associations variables, multiple regression examine independent Mean participants 95% (SD=13.2). Correlation revealed positive between perceived general harm overuse medications, (p<0.05); specific necessity concerns ARVs, medications self non-adherence (p<0.05). Multiple showed significance (F(1;231)=11,583;p<0,001) harmful effects explaining 4.8% variance. There (F(1;41)=4.440; p<0.041), HIV-ASES 9,8% Based results, developed. Activities consist baseline screening facilitators barriers medicine questionnaire ASES, this is followed interventions identified Key concepts: self-efficacy, medicines, therapy, virus.
