摘要: Background & Aims: β-Catenin, a key component of the Wnt pathway, plays an important role in unregulated liver growth tumors, regulated during regeneration, and ex vivo embryonic cultures. Methods: We used developing livers from several stages gestational development to examine β-catenin expression, protein-protein interactions, localization, regulation prenatal postnatal livers. Results: Microarray, Northern, protein analyses showed peak expression early at Embryonic day 10 (E10)-E12, followed by decrease complete loss normal (97-kilodalton species) after E16 through remaining period. At stages, localized cytoplasm nuclei resident cells addition its membranous which was seen all later adult liver. Decreases levels E14 onward coincided with decreased gene increased degradation, as increase serine 45/threonine 41-phosphorylated other negative regulators, such axin, adenomatous polyposis coli product (APC), glycogen synthase kinase-3β. Finally, we intact association E-cadherin despite E16-E18, owing presence membrane-associated smaller-molecular-weight species. Conclusions: also identified stage-specific that might be crucial for physiological development. Nuclear cytoplasmic corresponded cell proliferation species maintaining interactions membrane.
