Acute onset of systemic lupus erythematosus with extensive gastrointestinal and genitourinary involvement.

摘要: Lupus enteritis may occur as an acute presentation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and is not uncommonly associated with uretero-cystitis and/or hydronephrosis. Extensive involvement the gastrointestinal tract from stomach to rectum in SLE uncommon. We describe a 22-year-old Chinese female who presented extensive genitourinary recovered following pulse intravenous methylprednisolone cyclophosphamide. A high index clinical suspicion required arrive at diagnosis where only manifestations are predominant, other clinical, haematological biochemical features absent.
