摘要: Acid-base reactions are among the most important chemical processes in aqueous solution, but it is very difficult to characterize solvated ions that involved, especially proton. In his Perspective, Zwier discusses reports by Shin et al. and Miyazaki same issue reveal details of structure protonated water by means infrared spectroscopy. The spectra a series clusters H(HO)with n = 6 27 shed new light and raise questions about nature proton water, its position finite-sized cluster (surface or interior), size region proposed dodecahedral cage (n 21).
