摘要: The diagnostic criteria for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) have recently been revised. ovarian morphology has introduced as part of the and an international consensus achieved providing basis future research collaboration. It is now accepted that important long-term health implications, including metabolic disorders increased risk factors cardiovascular disease. overall developing type 2 diabetes among women with PCOS was found to be 3-7 times. Women levels factors: insulin resistance, obesity, dyslipidaemia, hypertension markers abnormal vascular function. However, level disease remains uncertain. limited epidemiological data available date shown no increase in events although incidence cerebrovascular increased. evidence endometrial carcinoma limited. Long-term studies well defined are needed order assess consequences, identify subgroups who need targeted determine timing nature measures intervention prevention.
