摘要: Abstract This review gives an overview and critical evaluation about modern LC-MS techniques for identification quantification of thiol peptides their metal complexes in seed plants, algae fungi. In analogy to other research fields we propose the term metallo-thiolomics global study entirety (metallo-thiolome) aiming at elucidation peptide regulated homeostasis. Off-line on-line approaches based on liquid chromatography (LC) electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS) were mainly used apo-forms. The complementary application inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS) has demonstrated be useful investigation native metal–thiol complexes. Furthermore, new strategies via element signal ICP-MS will presented. We critically discuss impact these progress plant biochemistry highlight future trends developments.
